St.Ennah Akudihor, MSW, LICSW

What’s good?! How Y'all doing?
My name is St.Ennah Akudihor, but you can call me Saint for short. I am originally from down south. New Orleans, Louisiana, to be exact, but moved to Seattle in 2017. I am black, specifically of Nigerian Descent. I identify as queer and also non-binary, specifically agender and genderfluid, and also polyamorous. Some fun facts about me are: I am an abstract artist, I play rugby, I love to snowboard, and I love being in nature.

My practice is grounded in creating a space where you can be your authentic, true self. Within my therapeutic space, I acknowledge that trauma has impacted us in one way or another, so being intentional about creating a trauma-informed space is vital. When it comes to my practice, I keep in mind that our society, systems in our society, institutions, our identities, and our various communities and interpersonal relationships influence our perspective and the way we move through life.

I currently hold my license in Washington State. I work with Adults and youth (13+). I ground my practice in relational cultural therapy, where the therapeutic relationship is key to the work that is done in therapy. I believe the work ain’t getting done unless the trust is there. How or why should I expect you to open up and discuss your past or current traumas unless we build trust? I also bring an anti-oppressive lens into my practice to work towards decolonizing our minds and bodies, and as a guide to liberation. I work with folks who are QTBIPOC and struggling with trauma that stems from race, gender, sexuality, interpersonal relationships, and childhood. I draw from different modalities, but my main focus is Brainspotting and using somatic practices to heal from trauma. I am also an artist outside of being a therapist, so I am always down to explore ways to incorporate art into my space.
